Arsenal will carry a swagger when they visit Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners enter the contest off the back of completing their Champions League masterpiece in Madrid. A 2-1 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu saw Mikel Arteta’s side ease into the semi-finals of the competition, where a scintillating Paris Saint-Germain await.

Arsenal’s sole focus lies with their continental campaign, but Arteta has several domestic outings to navigate before Luis Enrique’s in-form outfit visit the Emirates at the end of April.

Ipswich’s fate is all but secured, with an immediate return to the Championship inevitable. However, Kieran McKenna’s men aren’t down just yet. They enter the weekend 14 points behind 17th-place Wolves with six games to play. Arsenal, meanwhile, are 13 points adrift of runaway leaders Liverpool and have an in-form Newcastle on their tail.

Here is 90min’s guide to Sunday’s Premier League clash.

Liam Delap was named on the bench last Sunday at Chelsea, and the striker is set to return to McKenna’s starting XI for Arsenal’s visit, replacing George Hirst.

Jaden Philogene sustained a knee injury at Stamford Bridge and is expected to endure a period on the sidelines, while Omari Hutchinson isn’t expected to be available to face his former club.

An Achilles injury could keep Kalvin Phillips sidelined. Wes Burns, Sammie Szmodics, Arijanet Muric and Chiedozie Ogbene are all out.

The visitors are bound to be much-changed from their win in Madrid, with the likes of Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Mikel Merino earning rests.

Arteta has said that Kai Havertz will return “earlier than expected” from hamstring surgery but is still a few weeks away from making a potential comeback. Riccardo Calafiori is hopeful of being fit for the first leg against PSG.

Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel and Takehiro Tomiyasu are long-term absentees. Jorginho was added to the injury list last week.

Ipswich vs Arsenal score prediction

Ipswich are bound to be spirited, and they may fancy their chances on home soil against a rotated Arsenal team.

However, Portman Road simply hasn’t been a tough place for teams to visit this season, with McKenna’s side winning just once on their own turf. The Gunners will be swaggering around the place on Sunday after their midweek work, and they may not have to step out of second gear to prevail – as was the case in the reverse fixture.

Prediction: Ipswich 0-2 Arsenal
